“Tales of Now & Zen,” with Japanese Storyteller Motoko

Nationally-acclaimed storyteller Motoko will present “Tales of Now & Zen” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 in Karpen Hall, Laurel Forum. A native of Osaka, Motoko blends ancient lore and oral memoirs from her childhood in Japan and her life as an immigrant in the U.S.

Motoko is the recipient of the National Storytelling Network’s 2017 Circle of Excellence Award, and is frequently featured in storytelling festivals across the U.S. She is the author of “A Year in Japan: Folktales, Songs and Art for the Classroom.”

Visitor Parking

Visitors may park in faculty/staff and All Permit lots from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, and on weekends, holidays, and campus breaks. Visitors are not permitted to park in resident student lots at any time.
Prior to 5pm, any visitor (regardless of their reason for visit) need to adhere to the current practices listed on the parking website. Get your visitor parking permit here
