The next Symphony Talk, providing a look at an upcoming performance by the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, will take place at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at the Reuter Center, home of OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville. Symphony Talk is free and open to everyone.

The program begins with a presentation by BPR program host Chip Kaufmann, who talks about the life and times of the featured composers. Asheville Symphony Orchestra guest conductor Mei-Ann Chen and violin soloist Alexi Kenney will describe the concert which will take place the next day, will also talk about how the orchestra prepares, and offer guided listening to the performances. This edition will feature Beethoven’s Symphony No.6, the PastoralDvořák’s Violin Concerto, and Kodály’s Dances of Galánta.
