Sarah Tanguy: Curator as Agent of Change

UNC Asheville will welcome visual arts curator and writer Sarah Tanguy as part of its Visiting Scholar Lecture series on Thursday, March 4 from noon to 1:30 p.m. The event will be held virtually.

Tanguy will explore her role when collaborating with artists in socio-culturally inflected projects whose contexts and meanings continue to evolve and expand. Ranging from food, tools and books to identity construction and climate change, her exhibitions and collections seek to bridge the personal and the shared, the local and international, and the historic and the present, suggesting new ways to connect with diverse peoples and the surrounding world in flux.
