“Understanding the Racial Wealth Gap” will be the next topic in the Racial Disparity Webinar Series from OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville. This online event is free and open to everyone via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24. Please pre-register at this Zoom link.
Panelists will be:
- Rob Thomas, community liaison for Asheville’s Racial Justice Coalition
- David Greenson,volunteer coordinator for the Racial Justice Coalition
- Moderated by Yashika Smith, inclusive engagement and leadership manager, Office of Equity & Inclusion, City of Asheville.
This series has been designed by the Inclusion Committee of members of OLLI to raise awareness and to inspire personal engagement and advocacy. Each session will include participation by local leaders, professionals and community members engaged in addressing these issues. The format will allow for a discussion and a question and answer follow up.
