OLLI Webinar on Racial Disparity – Criminal Justice

OLLI – the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville – will continue its series of webinars on racial disparity with a discussion of criminal justice issues, at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, free and open to everyone, with pre-registration required.

The webinar will be moderated by OLLI member and attorney Curry First and feature Buncombe County District Attorney Todd Williams, Asheville City Manager Debra Campbell and Public Defender LeAnn Melton

This series has been designed by the Inclusion Committee of members of OLLI to raise awareness and to inspire personal engagement and advocacy. Each session will include participation by local leaders, professionals and community members engaged in addressing these issues. The format will allow for a discussion and a question and answer follow up.
