The Department of Mass Communication is pleased to present a campus talk by Sally Kestin on Wednesday, September 18 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. in Highsmith Student Union room 225/226. Sally Kestin is a former investigative reporter at the Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale. Her series on off-duty police speeding, with colleague John Maines, won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for public service in 2013. A graduate of Northwestern University, she has produced award-winning investigations on fraud in FEMA disaster aid, felons working in Florida daycare centers and nursing homes, and sexual predators set free by the state. She is a native of Louisville, Ky. This event is free and open to the public.
