Employer Summit

The Employer Summit, hosted by UNC Asheville’s Career Center, is for Asheville-area businesses and will take place from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, in the Highsmith Student Union French Broad Room.

This conference will focus on successful HR strategies, creating successful internships, hiring the next generation, and building diverse candidate pools. Registration is limited to 50 employers –  $40 for one employer representative or $75 for two. The day includes lunch and parking on campus, with a full schedule of workshops with local experts.

Conference speakers include:

• Keynon Lake – Founding director of My Daddy Taught Me That, and author of the book by the same name
• Drew Pollick – Partner, Craft HR Solutions
• David Earnhardt – Associate Director for Employer Relations, UNC Asheville
• Cate O’Connor- Student Engagement Coordinator, UNC Asheville
