This week full of events, all free and open to everyone, educates about disability-related issues, rights, and experience with a strong focus on disability as an identity of diversity and difference to be not only accepted but celebrated.

Monday, Feb. 25
- Geek Trivia and Cosplay in the Sandbox with prizes, snacks, trivia and more. 3-5 p.m., Disability Cultural Center, Ramsey Library lower floor.
Tuesday, Feb. 26
- Veterans with Disabilities Speak Out – 1-2 p.m., Veterans Center for Excellence, Highsmith 118.
Wednesday, Feb. 27
- Film – Defiant Lives: The Rise of the Disability Rights Movement – 5-6:30 p.m., Highsmith 108.
Thursday, Feb 28
- Lunch & Learn – Understanding the Intersection of Autism, Eating and Sensory Processing Disorders, presented by Kim Clairy (also part of NED Awareness Week) – noon-1:30 p.m., Brown Hall 217. Bring your own lunch – water & desserts provided. RSVP required.
Friday, March 1
- Disability Day of Mourning – 9-11 a.m., Ramsey Library, Whitman Room.
Saturday, March 2
- Keynote Workshops with Lydia X.Z. Brown – Rekindling and Reconnecting: Community-Building at Intersections of Queerness and Disability, 2 p.m.; and, Disability Justice Fights Racism: Confronting and Resisting the Ableism of White Supremacy, 3 p.m.; both in Highsmith 225/226.
