Coming Home to North Carolina: A Virtual Reading Featuring Mildred Barya

Mildred Barya, UNC Asheville assistant professor of English and winner of the North Carolina Humanities Council’s 2020 Linda Flowers Award, will be featured in a reading at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5. This online event, which also features writers Carol Scott-Conner and Susan Wilson, is free and open to everyone at this link.

The reading is co-hosted by the North Carolina Literary Review and the North Carolina Humanities Council. Laura Hope-Gill, assistant professor of writing at Lenoir-Rhyne University where she also directs The Thomas Wolfe Center for Narrative, will lead Q&A after the reading.
