Prospective high school seniors with a completed application to UNC Asheville may request an Overnight Visit during the fall and spring semesters to experience college life on campus. Overnight visits are offered Monday through Thursday on a limited basis. Applicants may request an overnight stay using the online Overnight Visit Request Form. When an overnight visit is confirmed, students will receive the Overnight Visit Agreement form that must be completed before their visit.
Please allow at least a two-week notice for overnight stays.
A few reminders before you arrive:
- Please bring a pillow, sleeping bag, cash for meals on campus.
- Arrival time is no later than 5 p.m.
- You will need to arrange for transportation to and from campus.
- Please bring a photo ID
One of the hallmarks of UNC Asheville is its small class size and close, personal interaction between professors and students. You can view that interaction first hand by sitting in on a class and/or requesting a meeting with a professor.
Pending professor approval, current high school seniors may sit in on one of UNC Asheville’s many class offerings. If you cannot stay for a class, you may instead, meet with a professor one on one.
Keep in mind that, due to the reduced class offerings in the summer, attending a class and meeting with a professor is limited and may be easier to schedule for the Fall and Spring semesters. Please allow at least a two-week notice to set up a classroom/professor visit.
