Honors Curriculum

Honors courses are open to students formally admitted to the Honors Program. Designed for motivated and self-directed students, the Honors Program curriculum complements the Liberal Arts Core and major curricula. Honors sections of LANG 120, Humanities Program courses, and other courses count toward Honors Program requirements to graduate with Distinction as a University Honors Scholar or Recognition as an Honors Scholar.

A variety of interdisciplinary special topics courses are offered every semester taught by award-winning professors across the disciplines. These courses are designed to have minimal prerequisites so that Honors students from any major and at any stage in their college careers can enroll in them, contribute, and complete them successfully. Honors students are required to take at least two special topics courses to complete the requirements for Distinction as a University Honors Scholar.
