Due to the success with gojira, a second QuantumCube was purchased out of money for collaboration with Prof. Holmes.  This one gave us a little trouble at the start, blowing a fan and a hard drive, but PQS were beyond excellent in taking care and nursing it back to full health.

gojira is a 4-processor PQS QuantumCube purchased from start-up funds.  My students love this computer and it is usually the first one taken in the morning.
Freude is not very photogenic

freude.chem.unca.edu

freude is a PC that was purchased using funds from a UNCA Undergraduate Research proposal written by Paul Beaton.  It was converted to a linux box (with much kudos to Bob Benites the linux uber-guru). Students grumble about it now, but at the time it was a life-saver.
The Big Blue Toaster davinci is a Silicon Graphics O2 workstation obtained using the Varsity program. It has a digital camera attached to it, which you can see operating. That is my hand on the mouse.
