ORIENTATIONS

Every student who uses the UWC receives a brief orientation to our services at the time of the first appointment.

We visit classes and explain why the University Writing Center exists and how it operates in brief orientation sessions. We can do these sessions in your classroom or invite your class to our facility. We typically bring handouts of our schedule and our policy to these orientation sessions. Contact the Director to arrange for a class orientation.

WORKSHOPS

To assist faculty with instruction on writing-related topics, we offer custom workshops. We can consult with you about what your needs are and then design an appropriate workshop to be brought to your students in your classroom. Contact the Director to arrange for such a workshop.
