| Personal Statement: |
| I always
approach to teaching with a belief that the sum total of our human
knowledge is very much limited, precarious, and still developing. I
also approach to it with great awareness of the possibility of diverse
understandings of the same social and natural phenomenon. Because of
it, I believe that students and teacher have to work together to get
closer to truer nature of the phenomena. That's why, I believe, it
is not enough for a teacher just to deliver some unknown facts to
students. What a teacher ought to strive to do is to help students
develop a perspective with which they can better understand themselves,
others, their world and other worlds. Hopefully, with the
understanding we can construct a better world together. |
