Checklist

  1. Planning Meeting -- Meet with Publications staff to discuss type of publication, deadlines, budget requirements and other specifications.

  2. Writing and Editing -- The Publications Office writer/editor writes your text or reads your submitted text for accuracy, consistency, clarity and effectiveness. She will edit and rewrite as necessary to conform with university style.

  3. Design -- The designer prepares a layout using the edited copy.

  4. Proofing -- A proof of what the finished publication will look like is made for your approval. You will be called when it is ready for your review. You may make changes and adjustments until you approve it in writing by signing a Publications proof form.

  5. Bid Solicitation -- The Office of Publications requests three price quotes for printing.

  6. Printing -- Your publication is prepared for the printer and sent out for printing.

  7. Delivery -- Your publication is delivered directly to you at a designated location.
