PostScript
The Publication of the
Philological Association of the Carolinas
First published in 1983, PostScript is a product of the Philological Association of the Carolinas, which sponsors an annual meeting where English and foreign-language scholars, mostly from North and South Carolina, come together for two days of scholarly exchange. From the beginning papers have covered a multitude of topics and have included literary scholarship, criticism, and theory, linguistic studies, criticism of film and folklore, and pedagogy. After six successful PAC conferences had demonstrated the value of the occasion, the executive committee launched PostScript, the aim of which has always been to publish selected proceedings of the conference.
In March of 2006, the business meeting of the twenty-ninth PAC conference approved a motion to convert PostScript into a web-based journal, beginning with the 2007 edition. It made sense as part of that process to make the past issues, volumes 1-23, available on the web at the same time.
