About Super Saturday
Beginning February 28 and continuing on Saturday mornings through April 4, four hundred elementary and middle school students will transform the UNC Asheville campus into a very special learning environment designed to offer high-interest, "hands-on" opportunities to explore new ideas and broaden perspectives.

Super Saturday is UNC Asheville's six-week Saturday morning enrichment program for academically gifted, creative, and/or highly motivated students in grades 3 - 8. Students may choose one or two courses per session from a diverse offering of nearly 30 different exciting classes. UNC Asheville's Super Saturday program is offered twice each year--once in the Spring and again in the Fall.

Super Saturday

Acceptance into the program is through registration, which includes initial verification by qualified school personnel that the applicant demonstrates outstanding achievement or potential and/or is identified as academically gifted according to the State of North Carolina guidelines.

Tuition and Registration
Tuition is $65 for each course. The registration postmark deadline is February 25, 2009. Late registration will be permitted on February 28 (in person only) on a space available basis at the main information desk in UNC Asheville's Carmichael Hall lobby.

Super Saturday registrations may be paid using cash, check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.

Many classes tend to fill up and close quickly, so early registration is encouraged to ensure your child gets into his or her first choice class(es).

Refund Policy
A $15 cancellation/processing fee will be deducted from any refund requested after February 20. Please note that no refunds will be issued after March 2.

Scholarships
A limited number of need-based scholarships (limited to one course per student) are available. The scholarship application postmark deadline is January 30, 2009. To apply for a scholarship, please send a letter describing the reason for your specific need along with your child's completed registration form to:
