Rob Nelson welcomed the Working Group and Visitors Experience members to the meeting at 9:00 am. He introduced our guests for today’s meeting, Jay Smith and Scott Arico. He asked everyone to introduce themselves.

Rob Nelson reviewed the group’s decisions from the last meeting about the specific items to take before the Board of Trustees in December. Specifically, he described the plan for an RFP for campus wayfinding, and the internal development of a Sustainability Plan, more defined governance and strategic prioritization of Repair and Renovations expenditures on campus.

Rob Nelson then introduced Jay Smith to the group. Mr. Smith proceeded to give a presentation on best practices in wayfinding. The Working Group and Visitors Experience Group then asked questions.

Renee Bindewald introduced Scott Arico, SGA Sustainability Liaison, who had gathered a substantial amount of information on what the University has accomplished in the area of sustainability. Mr. Arico presented findings to the two groups (see document here).

Rob Nelson thanked the two presenters and adjourned the meeting at 10:00 am.
