Jim Buckner, Chair of UNC Asheville Board of Trustees; Sue McClinton, Trustee; Anne Ponder, Chancellor; John Pierce, Vice Chancellor for Finance & Operations; Keith Krumpe, Dean of Natural Sciences; Christine Riley, Chief of Staff; Rob Nelson, consultant and facilitator; Don Gordon, Director of Design & Construction; Melissa Acker, Landscape Architect; Eric Boyce, Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police; Dr. Kimberly Newsome, AVC for Student Affairs; Dr. Dee Eggers – Appointed by Faculty Senate; Dr. Gregg Kormanik – Appointed by Faculty Senate; Renee Bindewald, student appointed by SGA; Ben Judge, student appointed by SGA; Max Queen, VP Administrative Services, AB Tech - community member
The meeting was called to order at 11:00 am. Jim Buckner, Chair of UNC Asheville Board of Trustees provided a welcome and introduction to the process.
Rob Nelson, Senior Advisor for Higher Education Policy and Finance for Fuquay Solutions and former Vice President for Finance at UNC General Administration provided an overview of the planning process.

Rob Nelson shared a PowerPoint presentation.
The group discussed next steps. The Working Group will meet monthly for the remainder of the semester, and will steward the advice-gathering process. They will also develop a draft of the Guiding Principles to be used by the designers in conducting the Master Plan next year. The Steering Committee and the Working Group will meet together again later in the semester to prepare for the July discussion with the full UNC Asheville Board of Trustees, who have ultimate responsibility for the plan.
The meeting adjourned at 1:00 pm.
