UNC Asheville's Career Center will host community leaders in a panel presentation on women in work and leadership at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in UNC Asheville's Highsmith University Union, Mountain Suites. Participants will have the opportunity to network with the panelists following the presentation. Light refreshments and door prizes will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.

Panelists are Kelly Hinz, assistant fire marshal for the City of Asheville Fire and Rescue Department; Maria Horton, contractor for Showcase Exteriors; Gisa Smith, learning and development manager for UPS; Sharon West, director of nursing for Buncombe County Health Center; and Alida Woods, principal of Dixon Elementary. UNC Asheville Athletics Director Janet Cone and Alice Weldon, UNC Asheville interim director of women's studies and associate professor of Spanish, will serve as moderators.
