Registration is now open for the Graduate
Record Examinations (GRE) test and the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT)
prep classes offered by UNC Asheville’s Professional Education
Programs. Classes will meet on the UNC Asheville campus.
The LSAT prep class will meet on six consecutive Wednesdays from 6-9
p.m. from January 16-February 20. The LSAT is a standardized exam
for admission to all 196 Law School Admission Council member
schools. Cost for the course is $400, including study materials.
Registration deadline is January 9; late sign-up will result in an
additional $15 fee.
The GRE prep course will meet for four consecutive weeks from 6-9
p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 22-February 14. The course
is designed to increase familiarity with the various types of
verbal, quantitative and analytical questions present on the GRE
computer-generated general test, required by most graduate programs
for admission. Students will learn test-taking strategies and work
with test-simulation exercises on reading comprehension, antonyms,
analogies, sentence completion, graphs and the writing assessment.
Cost for the course is $325, which includes study materials and
practice disk. Registration deadline is January 16; late sign-up
will result in an additional $15 fee.
