Like all mass communication majors, UNC Asheville junior Kenny George studies the news. But unlike most students, George has been the focus of news across the nation for the last few months.

George, the 7-foot-7-inch men's basketball team center, is currently the tallest player in the United States. He has been featured in local, regional and national news, and recently his acclaim jumped the ocean. George was featured in a two-page spread in "Sports Extra," which is published in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The story features color photos of George and details his life as an exceptionally tall student and basketball player. George keeps company among the magazine pages with such sports legends as Martina Navratilova and Tiger Woods.
