Interested in a wellness-related career? UNC Asheville's Career Center will host a panel discussion on "Careers in Food, Nutrition and Wellness" at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in UNC Asheville's Highsmith University Union, Mountain Suites. The talk, led by a host of local professionals, will connect undergraduate liberal arts education to actual workplace experiences. The event is free and open to the public.

The panelists include Vicki Banks, director of benefits and staffing services at The Biltmore Company; Jessica Lane, director of volunteers and special events at The Health Adventure; Alphie Rodriguez, director of preventative health at the YWCA of Asheville; John Rushling, professor of food science at North Carolina State University and department extension leader at North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service; and Erika Villa, co-owner of Artisan Catering and UNC Asheville alumna.

The talk will be co-moderated by Dominique Ennis, UNC Asheville assistant director of campus recreation, and Amy Lanou, UNC Asheville assistant professor of health and wellness.
