UNC Asheville's Mass Communication Department will host a filmmaking workshop from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, for middle school and high school students. The workshop, which is free of charge, will be held on campus.

With the guidance of UNC Asheville's video production students, participants will write, shoot and edit a short film all in one day. The projects will be premiered at the Asheville Film Festival in November.
Participants are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch and any props they might use in their project. All video equipment is provided.
