UNC Asheville Students' Video Art Installations Explore the Meaning of Home;
One-Day Exhibit on November 2

A one-day exhibit of cutting-edge work by UNC Asheville digital video art students explores the many concepts of “home” – as shelter, a state of mind, and as the human body. The show, which features multi-channel video and multi-monitor installations, will be on view from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, in UNC Asheville’s Alumni Hall, located in Highsmith University Union. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

UNC Asheville’s Multimedia Arts and Sciences Program offers an interdisciplinary major. Based on their choice of concentration, students develop a solid foundation in two- and three-dimensional animation, audio and video production, and interactive web and graphic design. Through a balance of courses in theory, criticism and practice, students develop an understanding of new technologies and design principles for effective communication in digital environments.
