UNC Asheville Student Groups to Host Talk on Socialist Cuba

Two UNC Asheville student groups will host a talk on “Socialist Cuba Today: A Firsthand Account” at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in UNC Asheville’s Laurel Forum, Karpen Hall. Ellen Bailey, lecturer of Spanish and French at UNC Asheville, will join others from the national organization Witness for Peace for a presentation on contemporary Cuban society. The event is free and open to the public.

The talk is sponsored by University student organizations UNC Asheville Philosophical Society and UNC Asheville Socialist Unity League.
