UNC Asheville's Family Business Forum to Host Talk on
Non-Family Employees

UNC Asheville’s Family Business Forum will host two workshops on “Working for a Family Business: A Non-Family Employee’s Guide to Success” from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, in UNC Asheville’s Reuter Center. Chris Eckrich, award-winning family business consultant, will conduct the workshops. Lunch will be served between the two sessions.

The morning workshop will focus on issues concerning non-family employees from the family business owner’s perspective, while the afternoon workshop will concentrate on topics related to non-family employees working in a family business. Participants will receive a copy of Eckrich’s book “Working for a Family Business: A Non-Family Employee’s Guide to Success.”

Eckrich, who holds a doctorate from Purdue University, has served as a faculty member at the University of Notre Dame and is a founding advisor to The Family Business Center at the University of Saint Frances. He is a principal in The Family Business Consulting Group and received the Family Firm Institute’s Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award for his research on family business dynamics.
