UNC Asheville's Family Business Forum Holds Talk on Conflict and CommunicationUNC Asheville’s Family Business Forum will host a talk on "Conflict and Communication in the Family Business" by Kristi S. McMillan, associate director of the Cox Family Enterprise Center at Kennesaw State University, at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, the UNC Asheville Reuter Center’s Chestnut Ridge Room. An optional buffet lunch will be served following the talk. McMillan is an associate of The Family Business Consulting Group, which specializes in building family unity, enhancing communication and the diagnosis and resolution of conflict. She holds a master’s degree in conflict management from Kennesaw State University and is co-author of the acclaimed book "Conflict and Communication in the Family Business." McMillan has first-hand family business experience from time in her family’s food distribution and repackaging company. Registration is required. The program is open to forum members and their guests. A limited number of seats are available for family business owners interested in membership.
