UNCA to Host Free Workshop for Contractors and Construction Suppliers;
Event Focuses on Doing Business with UNCA
UNC Asheville will host a workshop on "Small Business
Opportunities with UNCA" from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, in UNCA’s
Owen Conference Center. The event is free and open to small business
contractors and construction suppliers.
UNCA will soon bid two new construction projects: a $6 million physical
plant and a $5 million classroom building. The workshop will familiarize
participants with these projects and explore the potential business
opportunities involved, including project renderings and drawings; nature
and extent of required trades and skills; and strategies for working with
potential prime contractors.
