UNCA Offers Intergenerational Seminar on
Appalachian Literature

People 50 and over are invited to register for a special intergeneration seminar at UNC Asheville on "Contemporary Appalachian Literature." The 16-week class will be held from 2:15- 4:45 p.m. Wednesdays starting January 15. Associate Professor Gwen Ashburn, an expert on Appalachian Literature, will lead the seminar as younger and older students share perspectives on works of fiction by Lee Smith, Charles Frazier, Robert Morgan, Fred Chappell, Barbara Kingsolver, Tony Early, Denise Giardina and T.R.Pearson.
