UNCA Hosts Quilt Exhibition
"Quilts by Charmaine Strong," an exhibition of 12 quilted wall hangings, will be on view through January 31 at UNC Asheville’s Blowers Gallery. The daughter of a talented seamstress, Strong began quilting 15 years ago. The Asheville artist creates both traditional and artistic pieces using a variety of fabrics, including satins, velvets and flannels.
