UNCA Faculty Promoted;
New Chairs Named

Several UNC Asheville faculty members recently received promotions. Promoted from associate to full professor was Dan Millspaugh, M.F.A, art. Promoted from assistant professor to associate professor were: Duane Davis, Ph.D., philosophy; Volker Frank, Ph.D., sociology; Jeff Konz, Ph.D., economics; and Dorothy Dvorsky-Rohner, Ph.D., classics. Promoted to assistant professor was Mary Lynn Manns, M.B.A., management and accountancy.

New department chairs and program directors named were: Rob Bowen, M.F.A., drama; Cynthia Ho, Ph.D., humanities; Pat McClellan, M.A.Ed., Center for Teaching and Learning; Kevin Moorhead, Ph.D., environmental studies; Bill Spellman, Ph.D., Dean of Curriculum; John Stevens, Ph.D., Sponsored Research Programs; Mike Stuart, Ph.D., biology; and Scott Walters, Ph.D., Arts & Ideas Programs.
