UNCA Board of Trustees to Meet November 12-13

UNC Asheville’s Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 12-13, on the UNCA campus.

The board will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ramsey Library Red Oak Conference Room. At 2:15 p.m. individual committees will meet in the following locations: Academic and Student Life Committee, Ramsey Library room 41; External Affairs Committee, Ramsey Library room 202; and Finance and Real Property Committee, Red Oak Conference Room.

At 6 p.m. in UNCA’s Owen Conference Center trustees will join other present and past members of the board, as well as present and past member of the UNCA Foundation Board, for a dinner.

On November 13, the board will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. in the private dining room of the Dining Hall. The meeting of the full board will convene at 9:15 a.m. in Ramsey Library’s Red Oak Room. The agenda includes presentations by Mike Ruiz, UNCA physics professor, about information technology in the classroom and Dwight Mullen, UNCA Diversity and Multicultural Affairs director, on campus diversity efforts.

The meetings are open to the public. Some items on the agendas of these meetings may be considered in closed session under the provisions of the North Carolina Open Meetings Act.
