ANNOUNCEMENTS

Last Issue of Monday Morning
After many years, the time has come to cease publication of Monday Morning. Started some 20 years ago as a print publication and morphing into an online version in 2001, Monday Morning was at one time the sole listing of campus events and announcements. The wide use of campuswide e-mail announcements and the success of the Events Master Calendar now make this publication obsolete, and so the Public Information Office has decided to cease publication with this edition.

To access information normally published in Monday Morning, you may wish to bookmark the following links. And remember, University events are listed each day on the "Today at UNCA" portion of the homepage.

Safety Tip
With lawn mowing season right around the corner, remember to discharge clippings away from people. Mowers can throw objects at more than 200 mph and cause serious injuries.

Energy Tip
Appliances account for about 20% of your household's energy consumption, with refrigerators and clothes dryers at the top of the consumption list. When shopping for new appliances, look for those with the Energy Star seal.

Employee News
Updates for state employees from the N.C. Office of State Personnel are available online.
