Winter Graduation Reception
The Winter Graduation Reception will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in Lipinsky Auditorium. Some 200 seniors will be honored. For complete information, click on www.unca.edu/news/DecemberGraduation.html.

Faculty/Staff Holiday Luncheon
The annual faculty/staff Holiday Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in the Health & Fitness Center. The free lunch will include turkey and gravy, vegetarian pot pie, cornbread stuffing, green bean almondine, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, apple pie, pecan pie, tea and water. All are invited to bring new or gently used children's books to donate to Social Services, Foster Care and the Asheville-Buncombe Education Coalition. In conjunction with this collection, the Holiday Luncheon committee is encouraging guests to dress up as a character from children's literature. Questions? Call Jeanene Wexler at 251-6422.

Safety Tip
Leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator within two hours after cooking is completed. Bacteria that causes food poisoning can multiply to dangerous levels on perishable foods left at room temperature after two hours.

Energy Tip
Scrape, instead of rinsing, food off plates before loading into the dishwasher and be sure the machine is full before running it.
