Cholesterol Screening

Human Rights Activist Robin Kirk to Speak
Author and human rights activist Robin Kirk will discuss "Columbia and the War on Terror: Phantoms, Papayas and the Power of Pleasure" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Highsmith University Union Cafe. Currently, Kirk is a part of the Duke Human Rights Initiative and works as an investigator on capital cases in North Carolina. For 12 years, she covered Peru and Columbia for Human Rights Watch, the largest U.S.-based human rights group. Questions? Call Dr. Mark Gibney at 250-2870.

Campus Tickets Now on Sale for "Behind the Broken Words"
Campus tickets are now on sale for "Behind the Broken Words," a two-man performance of poetry, comedy and drama starring Emmy Award-winning actors Anthony Zerbe and Roscoe Lee Brown. The performance will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in the Diana Wortham Theatre. General admission tickets are sold out! Tickets for UNCA faculty, staff, College for Senior students and WCU students are $15; tickets for UNCA students are $6. Tickets are available in the Highsmith University Union Box Office seven days per week from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. or call 232-5000 to reserve your tickets by phone.
