Ceramic artist Josh DeWeese, resident director for the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Montana, will discuss his art in an upcoming public talk. DeWeese will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, in the Highsmith University Union.

Young Engineers Invited to Test Their Creativity in Design Competitions 
Young engineers are invited to test their skills at building bridges and marshmallow catapults at the Engineering Design Competition sponsored by the Engineering Department. The competition for high school students will be held from noon-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, in the Health and Fitness Center. The competitions are open to students in grades 9-12. Teams may be made up of members from any school or organization. Any interested group may participate. Registration deadline for the event is October 15. Entries must meet project specifications. Fulbright Application Deadline is Approaching
The Fulbright Program aims to foster mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchange. Each year, the program provides funding for approximately 1,000 American students from all disciplines to study or conduct research in more than 140 countries. Graduating seniors, postgraduate candidates and developing professionals and artists may apply. The campus application deadline is October 4.
