Health & Fitness Center Hours
Through Sunday, Aug. 15, the Health & Fitness Center will operate on a limited schedule. Hours will be from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. The pool will be open from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, Aug. 16. Questions? Call the Health & Fitness Center at 232-5650.

Bookstore and OneCard Office Closed for Move
The Bookstore and OneCard Office will be closed until August 6 to move into the Highsmith University Union. 

Creative Writing Classes Offered
Special Academic Programs will offer three five-week creative writing courses  beginning in August. Cost is $65 per class. Courses include "Creating Unforgettable Characters," "Creating Children’s Books" and "Initiation Into the Writing Life." Marshall native Bobbie Pell will instruct all classes. Leadership Asheville Accepting Applications for 2004-2005 Program
Leadership Asheville is now accepting applications for the 2004-2005 class.  Following a two-day opening retreat in September, the program meets one day per month through May. In addition to topic/training sessions, all participants are given the opportunity to make a difference in the community by working on team service projects that address community needs. Tuition is $1,200; partial scholarships are available. For more information, contact Gerry Goertz at 251-6125 or leadership@unca.edu.

Leadership Training for Older Persons
Registration is now open for the Center for Creative Retirement's Leadership Training for Older Persons. This free, six-week course is designed to teach leadership skills to underserved and minority adults ages 50 and older who reside in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania counties. Leadership Training for Older Persons will meet from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays September 7-October 12, on campus. The application deadline is Monday, Aug. 16.
