Bookstore and OneCard Office Closing for Move
The Bookstore and OneCard Office will be closed from July 19 through August 6 to move into the Highsmith University Union. 

22nd Annual Concerts on the Quad
The 22nd annual Concerts on the Quad series will take place at 7 p.m. Mondays through July 19. The free concerts will include performances by Roger Day, Liz Carroll and John Doyle and many more. For more information and a complete schedule, click on www.unca.edu/summerquad.

Faculty-Staff Summer Picnic
The annual Faculty-Staff Summer Picnic will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, in the Zageir parking deck. Festivities will include a free lunch catered by Sodexho, a yard sale beginning at 10 a.m. (proceeds will benefit the CSAC scholarship fund), a dessert contest, games and door prizes. Leadership Training for Older Persons
Registration is now open for the Center for Creative Retirement's (NCCCR) Leadership Training for Older Persons. This free, six-week course is designed to teach leadership skills to underserved and minority adults ages 50 and older who reside in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania counties. Leadership Training for Older Persons will meet from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays September 7-October 12, on campus. The application deadline is Monday, Aug. 16. Effective Teacher Training
Registration is now open for Effective Teacher Training, a required course for teaching and substituting in some North Carolina public school systems, including Buncombe County and Asheville City public schools. The class will meet from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on four consecutive Saturdays from July 24-August 14 on campus. Cost is $75 plus textbook. Three continuing education credits are available with a $15 processing fee due with a completed form at the end of the class. Health & Fitness Center Summer Hours
Through July 30, the Health & Fitness Center will be open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Summer pool hours are 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
