Lei Han

Lei Han
Lei Han is Assistant Professor in the Multimedia Arts and Sciences Department and is one of UNCA's newest member of the faculty. She is originally from Shenzhen, China where she received her B.A. degree from the Design College of Art in Fashion Design. After graduation she became the Chief Fashion Designer at Shenzhen Enqing Fashion Company. Following her desire to become more emerged in multimedia, she went to Memphis College of Art, where she received her M.F.A. After a brief period of time as a free-lance multimedia consultant, she came to UNCA. 

Lei Han's vision is to bring her Asian influence into multimedia by focusing on video and motion graphics as the means of communication bringing into her work cultural influence and cutting edge technology. Her most recent work, "Zoe," was recently selected for exhibition at the 37th Humboldt International Short Film Festival in Arcata, California.

COMING UP

Clifton Wharton to Deliver Commencement Address
Clifton R. Wharton Jr., corporate and higher education leader, diplomat and foreign policy expert, will deliver the UNCA commencement address on Saturday, May 8. The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. on the terrace of Ramsey Library. Chancellor Mullen will confer honorary doctoral degrees on Wharton as well as science columnist Sharon Begley of The Wall Street Journal, University of Hawaii President Evan S. Dobelle and Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson. About 600 students are candidates for degrees.

Help Sodexho Fight Hunger
In an effort to help fight hunger in our community, Sodexho is sponsoring the "Caring Cans Canned Food Drive" through April 30. Cans of non-perishable food may be dropped off in the Dining Hall for donation to local food banks. Diners who donate five cans will receive a free meal. On- and off-campus groups, clubs and scouting troupes are also welcome to participate to earn free meals. Questions? Call Kristen Gibson at 251-6183.
