ANNOUNCEMENTS

Kudos!
Highsmith Recycling -- Thanks to the efforts of Facilities Management & Planning and Design & Construction, with assistance from Lee Nichols Clark Patterson architects and the on-site work by general contractor M.B. Kahn, UNCA recycled 2,800 tons of material from the tear-down of Highsmith Center rather than sending it to the landfill. This is good news for the environment and saved UNCA $95,000 in landfill tipping fees.

Help Sodexho Fight Hunger
In an effort to help fight hunger in our community, Sodexho is sponsoring the "Caring Cans Canned Food Drive" through April 30. Cans of non-perishable food may be dropped off in the Dining Hall for donation to local food banks. Diners who donate five cans will receive a free meal. On- and off-campus groups, clubs and scouting troupes are also welcome to participate to earn free meals. Questions? Call Kristen Gibson at 251-6183.
