Chancellor's Annual Campus Appreciation Dinner
Chancellor Mullen will host the free annual campus appreciation dinner from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in the Dining Hall. The event will feature a tropical island menu and live music.

Window on the Arts Series Seeks Performers
The Window on the Arts Series is seeking musicians, dancers, poets and actors to perform on Monday and Thursdays from 12:15-1 p.m. in the Ramsey Library Glasshouse. Performers will be paid. Interested? Call Kristin Mills at 253-2472.

Super Saturday Program Offers Super Classes for Kids
Gifted, creative and motivated 3rd-8th graders have an opportunity to explore dog obedience training, ancient Egyptian culture, veterinarian science and much more at the 17th annual Super Saturday Program beginning September 27. Some 28 unique courses are open for registration. Classes meet 9 a.m.-noon for six Saturdays between September 27 and November 8. Classes will not meet on October 18. Tuition is $55 per class; a special rate of $45 is available for children of UNCA employees. Deadline to apply is September 19. Great Smokies Writing Program Offers Fall Classes
The Great Smokies Writing Program will offer six fall courses in poetry, fiction, nonfiction and prose. The classes are open to all interested writers. These classes qualify for audit or UNCA credit hours in literature and language. Ten-week classes are worth two credit hours and cost $140.48 for tuition and fees. Fifteen-week classes are worth three credit hours and cost $220.72.

Continuing Education Creative Writing Classes
Special Academic Programs will offer three fall continuing education courses in creative writing. The five-week classes, which will meet on campus, are open to all interested writers. Classes include "Creating Unforgettable Characters," "Writing from the Heart: Stories That Heal" and "Story Structures: Strengthening Your Plot Lines." Cost is $65 per class.
