UNCA FACULTY SCHOLAR
This is the first in a series of informal profiles of UNCA's many noted faculty scholars. Written by Dr. John Stevens, director of the Office of Sponsored Scholarship and Programs, each of the weekly profiles will highlight the scholarly accomplishments and interests of faculty colleagues. We hope that you will find these profiles of interest as we celebrate the intellectual vigor that is at work on our campus.
Gordon Wilson Before coming to UNCA in 1997, Professor Wilson was professor at Xavier University where he was a "UNCF Distinguished Scholar." He has edited several important philosophical texts and has authored numerous scholarly articles. He is currently finishing a book on the scholarly works of Henry of Ghent that is expected to be published within a year. Gordon is on the Executive Committee of the Society for Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy and is the General Editor of an important forty-five volume series of Henry of Ghent. -- Dr. John Stevens |
