26th Annual Concerts on the Quad
The 2008 season of Concerts on the Quad will kick off at 7 p.m. Monday, June 6, on UNC Asheville's Quad. A great lineup of free music will be offered through July.

Great Smokies Writing Program Summer Courses
Local writers will have the opportunity to hone their skills with UNC Asheville's Great Smokies Writing Program's summer workshop series. The program will offer four workshops in poetry and prose beginning in June. Each course qualifies for one UNC Asheville credit hour in literature and language. Classes are open to all interested writers but class size is limited; early registration is suggested. Super Summer Camp
Students in 3rd-6th grades will have the opportunity to stimulate their imaginations and develop critical thinking skills at UNC Asheville's Super Summer Camp. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 16-20, on UNC Asheville's campus. Cost is $215 for the week. Summer Music Camp
Aspiring musicians will have the opportunity to engage in intense instruction and melodious fun at UNC Asheville's third annual "Music in the Mountains: Western North Carolina Summer Music Camp." The overnight camp, set for June 22-27, is open to middle and high school students. Registration is $395 or $275 for commuter students. Meals will be provided. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and must include a $100 non-refundable deposit. Enrollment is limited; early application is advised. Studio Masters Series
The North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement invites artists of all ages to enroll in the 2008 Studio Masters Series, featuring courses taught by master wood craftsman Gary Rawlins, renowned marbling artist Laura Sims and widely acclaimed basketmaker Billie Ruth Sudduth. Classes will be held in March and September on the UNC Asheville campus. Early registration is strongly recommended.
