Reuter Center Singers “Rewind to the 50s” on May 17

Music of the 50s will resound when the Reuter Center Singers perform at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at UNC Asheville's Reuter Center, home to OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Rabbi Sheila Weinberg, co-founder of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, will present a talk, "Aging with Awareness," at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at UNC Asheville's Reuter Center. Weinberg's talk is sponsored by the university's Center for Jewish Studies and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville. This event is free and open to the public.
First Annual OLLI Art Bazaar Set for April 26

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville will host the first annual OLLI Art Bazaar from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, April 26 in the Reuter Center. This event is free and open to the public.
f/32 Photography group to open exhibit at UNC Asheville

The f/32 photography group will present an exhibit, "Texture, Pattern, Shape, Oh My!" from March 1-31 in the Blowers Gallery at UNC Asheville's Ramsey Library. This exhibit will open with a reception from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 3. Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
College for Seniors Spring Course Catalog Available Now

The spring course catalog for the nationally renowned College for Seniors is now available online. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in person at UNC Asheville's Reuter Center. The College for Seniors courses are offered by OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville.

He Beom Kim, consul general for the Republic of Korea, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 in UNC Asheville's Reuter Center. Kim's talk, "The Republic of Korea, Its Role and Leadership: The New Economies and Politics of the Asia-Pacific," is co-sponsored by the WNC chapter of the World Affairs Council, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UNC Asheville, and the university's department of political science.
Director of U.S. Special Envoy Office to Provide Update on Sudan Crisis

Larry Andre, director of the U.S. Special Envoy Office to Sudan, just returned from that country, will provide an update on ongoing crisis there which has caused the displacement of 900,000 people in the past year. His talk is sponsored by the World Affairs Council, the UNC Asheville Department of Political Science and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Andre will speak at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the UNC Asheville Reuter Center, Manheimer Room.
