UNC Asheville’s Drama Department presents its first student production of the season, the farce, “Sorting Trash” by Dan Gordon, with performances October 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. and October 13 at 2:00 p.m., in Carol Belk Theatre on campus.
With vivid and unusual characters, “Sorting Trash” highlights the importance of family.
“This show has a strong tie of love and family underneath all the craziness,” said Olivia Medoff, who plays a schizophrenic mother. “This farce gets to the nitty-gritty about what matters, what makes up a real family and what family really means.”
Tickets are $10 for the public, $8 for UNC Asheville faculty and $5 for students, with a special discount day on Friday, October 11 for UNC Asheville senior students when tickets will be $4.
