The Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina at Asheville will hold a meeting from 2-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 in the Highsmith University Union, room 235, on the UNC Asheville campus.
The purpose of the meeting is to establish or to instruct the university’s staff or negotiating agents concerning the position to be taken by or on behalf of the university in negotiating the price and other material terms of a contract or proposed contract for the acquisition of real property by purchase, option, exchange or lease.
This meeting is subject to North Carolina’s Open Meetings Act, and certain agenda items may be considered in closed session, consistent with provisions of the Act.
The UNC Asheville Board of Trustees is composed of 13 members; eight are appointed by the UNC Board of Governors and four are appointed by the governor. The UNC Asheville Student Government Association president, who is elected by the student body, also is a voting member of the board.
