“Revenge of the Electric Car” – Documentary Film Screening at UNC Asheville
April 11, 2012
UNC Asheville will host a screening of the documentary film, “Revenge of the Electric Car,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, in Robinson Hall, room 125. The screening is free and open to the public.
Directed by Chris Paine and narrated by Tim Robbins, ”Revenge of the Electric Car” is the sequel to the 2006 documentary, “Who Killed the Electric Car?” The new film chronicles the resurgence of electric cars, after thousands had been purposely destroyed by the same car companies that built them.
Plug-in vehicle dealers and owners are invited to showcase their vehicles for a “show and tell” and “ride and drive,” after the film.
This event is co-sponsored by the UNC Asheville Mechatronics Engineering Program, the UNC Asheville Active Students for a Healthy Environment organization, the Sierra Club, and the Land-of-Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition.
For more information or to arrange to bring a plug-in vehicle, contact Dave Erb at 828.258.7659 or derb@unca.edu.
