Panel at UNC Asheville: Media Ethics in the Social Media Age

UNC Asheville’s Mass Communication Department will host “Social Media on Ice” a panel discussion on media ethics featuring area media professionals, from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4, in UNC Asheville’s Highsmith University Union, Alumni Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The panelists will include:

• Justin Belleme, founder, JB Media Group, an internet marketing agency in Downtown Asheville.
• Jay Deacon, founder Wildfire Media Partners, a mobile marketing company, and former radio host and program director for Asheville Radio Group stations.
• Jeff Howell, account executive with The Daniels Group, a regional marketing and communication services firm,and former newspaper circulation, sales, and marketing professional.
• Rebecca Sulock, co-managing editor of the Mountain Xpress Arts and Entertainment section, and active tweeter.
