UNC Asheville Electronic Music Ensemble to Perform with Grammy Award-Winning Percussionist

The UNC Asheville Electronic Music Ensemble will present a concert of original experimental electronic music compositions at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at the Boiler Room, 11 Grove St. in downtown Asheville. The concert will include a special appearance by Roy "Futureman" Wooten, a five-time Grammy Award-winning percussionist with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Wooten will be joined by UNC Asheville professors Wayne Kirby and Greg Olson in the avant-garde trio, Sons of Another Planet. Admission is $7 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit UNC Asheville's Music Department.
